Eight Legs are playing The Rainbow in Birmingham tonight (25th Feb 2010) along with This Beautiful Thief and Laura Bowen, so we thought we’d have a dig around the internet to see what goodies we could find about this lot!

Malpas (an electro-folk outfit featuring former Envy and Other Sins members and a Kerrang Radio DJ) play the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham this evening (Feb 24th 2010)

A busy night at the Hare and Hounds tonight … not one but TWO gigs
Malpas, Senadee and The Reading Room in one room, whilst Birmingham’s Black Market Empire, Danny Connors and the Ladders and New Street Adventure do the honours in the other!
We recently caught up with Black Market Empire during their rehearsal sessions! Come down tonight at see them in action …
Birmingham electro-bluegrass outfit Malpas are playing the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath on Wednesday night (24th Feb 2010), along with Senadee!
We popped along to their secret session room to find out more about the band …

This is a bit of a special one, Faust at The Rainbow in Birmingham! (10th May 2010)
These guys were some of the early stars of art rock – along with Kraftwerk. This is going to be one hell of a show!
If you’ve ever enjoyed anything from Nine Inch Nails, Joy DIvision to The Prodigy or Aphex Twin, get yourself along for an education!
We’ve very excited about this one, Finley Quaye playing our very own Rainbow venue tomorrow night (Saturday 19th Feb).

Quaye’s last album came out in 2008 (Sound for Sound), and with a backcatalogue spanning 16 years, this is a rare chance to see this musical legend in person!

Also on the bill tonight, The Brothers Movement – A band who can claim support slots with Black Rebel Motorcycle, Jesus & Mary Chain, Primal Scream and more
Next up, Savant – a Birmingham 3 piece (although they have, according to their Myspace site, welcomed a new member called Gremlin to the band) who claim a host of influences ranging from Joy Division to Mastodon – could be interesting!
And last, but not least, Decades. Once again Joy Division are namechecked, along with Interpol – oh, and they’re from Birmingham!
Come on, get along to the Rainbow tonight and give them some support!
