Yes – ladies and gentlemen today - confirmation that The JCQ (aka The James Cleaver Quintet) will be supporting Pulled Apart by Horses at he Flapper on 23rd September
Already a cracking line-up, this is phenomenal news for anyone who saw the 2 bands at the recent Off the Cuff Festival, and witnessed the carnage caused by both band
Hold onto your heads folks, The JCQ and Pulled Apart by Horses are coming!
According to Wikipedia the band were formed AFTER one Spencer Krug was offered a gig, then a tour. He had 3 weeks to find members – they rehearsed for the first time on the day of their first show.
The Mama Matrix show is getting ever closer … Wednesday, in fact!
A perfect example of the Balkan gypsy punk that is oh-so-popular right now, this is promising to be a very anarchic, chaotic and Balkanic (is that a word?) show. If you’ve not experienced them before, then all we can say is - head to their Myspace. and have a look at the video below.
Think gypsy punk, world music with a sense of humour … brilliantly fun!
Mama Matrix were asked to support The Beat at the Academy back in March, so it’s a real thrill to have them at the Hare and Hounds
Birmingham 4-piece Conquistadors bring their wonderfully chaotic low-fi prog rock sound to the Flapper on Tuesday (Have a listen: http://www.myspace.com/conquistadorsmusic).
You may have seen them recently when they played at the Off the Cuff festival! We caught up with them to find out more about their year …
